LEWIS HAMILTON ON POLE FOR UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX; AND SET TO ENJOY GIVING ENJOYMENT!

Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for having taken Pole in the United States Grand Prix Qualifying.

Both he and his team mate, Nico Rosberg, had driven masterfully, with Lewis having edged his colleague into P2 by no more 2 tens of a second.

Just as enjoyable as Hamilton taking P1, was the expression of peace and cooperativeness between these two powerful contenders.. It was pleasing to hear Nico Rosberg referring to Lewis by his name, and doing so in ordinary and unaffected manner. And likewise, Lewis referring to Nico Rosberg. This is how it should be, with the fierce competitiveness and driving excellence being played out on the Grand Prix track.

Sports should be about bring contenders and fans together, which is best reinforced by the contenders acting as positive role models to all.

With Rosberg being 33 points ahead of Lewis for the 2016 Championship, it is clear that he has a massive advantage. It is not inevitable that Nico will win the Championship, or, rather, will not lose it, since his chances of winning it are clearly substantial. For Lewis to win it, it would require some imponderables to occur, such as him winning, say,  3 more races, including the United States Grand Prix, and Rosberg not accumulating more than, say, 42 points during the rest of the 2016 season. Quite a tall order, which would probably be beyond the intrigues of the gods; requiring them to surpass themselves in how they toy with us humans.

Consequently, Lewis' strategy for the rest of the season could be one which sees him endeavouring to maximise his enjoyment during the rest of the races, doing expertly all he can to ensure that he has no more dnfs, and making his mind, body and intellect as of one, with his car, team and the circuits on which the next races will be staged. The extent to which he succeeds, will, along with some help from the gods, will influence, if not determine Hamilton's placement at the end of the 2016 season.

For now, however, the challenge for Hamilton and his Mercedes team, is that of taking advantage of his Pole position, by having a great start and converting it into winning the United States Grand Prix. Once this is done, to remain consistent in applying the process to the remaining races.

Nico Rosberg, understandably, will be endeavouring to increase his lead over his team mate, so as to make it an unassailable one, which it not yet is. For the effervescent Daniel Ricciardo, his perception of this race might be to for him to attach his car to the wind and drive through space and time to clock up another win. And, there are the likes of Vettel, Verstappen and the others, for whom the United States Grand Prix might be like a big juicy apple which they desire to bite into.

So, guys, let us have an exhilarating and enjoyable race, free of any avoidable serious incidents.
