Did you just have to go into your car and start the engine, this morning, or catch the commuter bus, train or metro and be where you intend to be in 'no time at all'?
Or did you have to walk a at times perilous and long walk to get to your desired destination? Then give thanks and praises.
And what of your health and fitness? Do you have to take and keep taking the pills to keep going on the train of life?
Or be thrown off earlier down the line, if you do not have the means of getting and keep taking the pills? Then, give thanks and praises!
Have you got a 'decent' job, a livelihood which does not entail you killing and maiming your fellow humans, directly or indirectly? Then give thanks and praises for it being so.
Are you in good, non-abusive relationships with most of those who are close to you, with family members, friends, and employer or employees? Then, do give thanks and praises.
Are you able to, all things considered, live a reasonable life, or is every or nearly every day a constant struggle to get by?
With you have to be constantly running and never really been able to achieve 'a comfort break'? Then give thanks and praises
Are you able to see, to feel, to smell, and to speak of the beauty of the natural world and environment? Then give thanks and praises!
Are you able to have fun and enjoy many of the pleasurable things which are on offer to the living? Then, give thanks and praises!
Are you able to seek after 'your own truths', and not have others forcing theirs or others upon you?
Then, give thanks and praises!
Are you free of the State, of this or that religion, ideology or tradition seeking to control all or the most important aspects of your living?
And crushing your 'right' to have and exercise a reasonable amount of 'freedom of self-expression and individuality'? Then, give thanks and praises.
And more....
Now, to what and/or whom should we give thanks and praises?
To be continued.
