JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON MATTERS OF RELIGION. OF GODS AND MEN - SHOULD PEOPLE PRAY TO MEN, INSTEAD OF THE GODS? THE END!

After all, most of the harm, the destruction and pain being suffered by humans are being caused by other humans.

So, why not make our prayers and pleas to those humans who really do have the power to stop much of our suffering.

Instead of looking to 'the middle man', to the gods, who seem oblivious to our constant prayer and pleas?

Indeed, it might even be the case that, if the gods had really existed. They would have been fed up and frustrated with what could be perceived as our continuous moaning, and refusal to take responsibility for putting right, what we have made wrong.

Could the Churches and religious leaders have better served their flock and the people of the world.

By dedicating one or more of their Sunday worship to calling on leaders such as Presidents Trump, Putin, Macron, Ghani, Xi Jinping, Al Assad, Prime Minister Theresa May, Haider Al-Abadi, Narendra Modi, Chancellor Merkel, King Salman,et al, to make more effort to work together to reduce the strife and misery in the world?

Would it be more helpful for the Churches to be appealing to the leaders and foot soldiers of the so-called 'Islamic State', of Al Queda and their associates.

To turn away from the violent and oppressive path which they have become wedded to.  And listen to the little voice of peace, of humanity, within them.

But which is being drowned by the innocent blood of the innocent humans whose lives they are destroying, and are yet to destroy.

If they do not stop serving death as their master, and take the path of peace and of life?

After all, why should it seem any less logical to pray, as it were, to powerful humans who are visible and audible to us, than that we should pray and beseech gods who are neither visible nor audible to us?

What do you think, about which of these approach is more likely to bring result; beseeching the gods, who seem not to be listening, or able to help, or engaging more with the humans who are causing the problems and have the power to bring about some solutions?
