The American government should remember that it bears primary responsibility for the on-going conflict and blood letting and destruction in the Middle East.
Due to it having invaded Iraq, which President Trump has acknowledged, should not have happened.
And that there is no likelihood of any peace and stability in the region while the American Eagle continues to wreak havoc there. But without realising any constructive objectives.
With it only succeeding in destroying but not building. Creating instability but not stability. Making more enemies and not friends.
Earning disrespect and contempt and not respect and admiration. Both the Syrians and the people of American stand to gain most by America getting the hell out of Raqqa as soon as possible.
America withdrawing from or greatly reducing its military and political role in the Middle East, is an essential and necessary precondition for peace and prosperity in the region.
Raqqa is an integral part of the State of Syria, and no attempts should be made by the Americans and Saudis to rebuild and re-populate it in a way which seeks to contradict that fact.
And create an alternative reality, such as that of the 'Islamic Caliphatised' entity which the now routed 'Islamic State' had turned it into, for a period of time.
A stable nation cannot be built upon ethnic, religious and/or cultural factionalism.
What a stable, secure and peaceful nation needs to underpins it, is a commitment to the shared humanity of its people, by its people, and to them working together, irrespective of religious, ethnic, and cultural differences, to make and enjoy their heaven of earth.
That means them, as an inclusive nation, having a stronger commitment to their collective common good, to the things with which all or most of them can easily identify with.
Than they have for those which might visibly identify them as 'belonging to this ethnic group, or this religious faith, or this cultural community.'
