'A person or nation might be forgiven if circumstances over which they have no control, force them into undertaking a perilous journey which ends in tragedy.
But a person or nation which, despite having been warned of the risks of such a journey ending in tragedy, still proceed, is behaving in a criminally irresponsible manner.'
If a building project, private of state funded, were to experience as much difficulties and doubts as the challenges which Brexit is confronting.
Even before it leaves port, it is probably very unlikely that those in charge of the project would have risk it continuing.
So, why are the Brexiteers and the British government, which should be acting in the best interests of the nation.
Proceeding, at all and any cost, with this project of leaving the European Union?
Why is the government ignoring the warnings that HMS United Kingdom is not seaworthy.
And that it is very likely that it will almost floundered as soon or shortly after it disembarks from Port EU, if it actually succeeds in doing so?
There are a lot of signs, evidence, if you like, that the United Kingdom is likely to lose more that it gains from leaving the European Union.
That, in leaving the Union, it will simply add to the national and international instability which is confronting the world.
That it will increase the separatism and nationalism, and calls for 'independence' amongst regions of many states.
None of which is good for business, except probably for the arms suppliers.
We have seen how the Brexiting preparations of the United Kingdom is affecting the stability of EU citizens who have been living in the United Kingdom for years, and have made it their home.
How they are now, like a minority ethnic group or community, feeling insecure, worried and forced to consider relocating from the United Kingdom.
All because the United Kingdom has decided to revert to becoming more parochial, more reactionary. In turning its back on the vision of people who have been aspiring towards making 'one worldism' more of a reality.
We have also the evidence of increasing insecurity and uncertainty amongst the business communities, which are worried about how Brexit the Reality, will impact on their businesses.
To be continued.
