At the risk of actually or appearing to be contradicting what I have already said about the lack of credibility of Kenya's Supreme Court.
Regarding the Justices, for various purported reasons, not turning up to hear a previous case regarding the country's Presidential elections.
I do believe that, the Court's decision in validating the most recent Presidential Elections, and opening the door for President Uhuru Kenyatta to assume another Presidential term, is of great service to Kenya and her people.
It is clear that the Opposition Leader and his party hierarchy, has been set on using the Judiciary to get their desired outcomes.
Pertaining to most or many aspects of resolving the political controversy affecting Kenya for the past several months.
One could be forgiven for thinking that Raila Odinga, the Opposition Leader, and his top party officials, would only consider an election to be 'fair', 'transparent', and legal.
If it results in them winning it. Nothing else, it seems, would appease and satisfy them. Which is why Mr Odinga is now expressing his rejection of the Supreme Court's decision.
H'e was happy with the Court's invalidation of the results of the first Presidential election.
Even though many people would argue that it was valid, in the sense that a majority of the nation's electorate had voted in it. But not with this one, which he chose not to participate in.
Raila Odinga and his party hierarchy have done not only their supporters a disservice.
By now placing them in a position which question their commitment to participating in the electoral and parliamentary 'democratic process' which is evolving in Kenya.
Indeed, they have also been attacking that process, by trying to hold it ransom. By their refusal to participate in the recent Presidential elections.
Hoping that, either it would not go ahead, or that, if it did, it would have been invalidated by the Court.
To be continued.
