GERMAN GRAND PRIX - POLE BLITZED BY SEB VETTEL, AS HAMILTON BAILED OUT, BUT MORE TO COME ON SUNDAY! THE END...

But I do find it difficult to understand why he ignored his team by not stopping when they instructed him to do so.

Thereby possibly, if not probably doing further damage to his car, and risking compromising his achievement during the Grand Prix?

If you are a team player, which you need to be, in order to win grand prix races.

Then you do need to trust your team, and, if the team instruct you to stop the car, then you have to trust that they are telling you to do so for a very good reason, and you need to stop the car.

Just as how when the team reassured Hamilton during the last Grand Prix, the British one, that the car, despite it being shunted by Kimi, was good to drive, and it was proved to be so.

So should Hamilton reign in his impetuosity, and stop when he is instructed to do so.

If one stage of the Grand Prix, such as Q3, is compromised, it is vital that nothing is done to compromise the race itself. To ensure that this is so, it is vital that the driver relies on his team, as they are able to have a clearer view of the wider picture.

But enough of Hamilton's and Team Mercedes' mixed fortune; it was Ferrari and Vettel's dominance which was on display.

With Vettel simply blitzing his way to Poledom, with no less than a 2 tenths advantage over what was only moments earlier, considered to have been a stunning lap and preliminary Pole position by Bottas the Consistent!

It is clear that Team Ferrari and Vettel and Raikkonen have the edge over Team Ferrari and Bottas and Hamilton.

In the key areas of consistently good performance during Qualifying and the race, along with appropriate race strategy and its deployment.

Although Team Ferrari and Sebastian's Pole achievement place them in an excellent position to win Sunday's German Grand Prix.

The race is still a free standing event, and we must now wait for it, to see what new chapter will be added to the Championship battle which is being fought between, not just Team Mercedes and Team Ferrari, but also Team Red Bull.

Will Team Ferrari add another notch to a battle they are sofar winning, or will Team Mercedes be fated with a morale boosting achievement during the German Grand Prix? Or, as the gods of fate might contrive, some other Teams?
