A person is a reflection of their culture, of what they believe and how they live their lives. A bridge between the past and the future, between time and space and needs to try to keep them in harmony, less they become unbalanced. Not to be aware of the past and give it due consideration in the building of the future can distort the future. Neither is it wise to sacrifice your future because you choose to live in or as if you are in the past. One World One Human Race One Destiny (OWOHROD)

AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 14.
Whether it is a blessing or a curse, that a person should remember much about his/her life, before, say the age of 3 or 4, I do not know.
Be that as it may, I am neither blessed or cursed, because I am one of those remember comparatively little about what good and bad things fate threw at me before the age of about 5 years of age
Some people seem to have the facility to remember things that happened to thing or things which they did from the tender age of 2 or 3.
But I would surmise that, the extent to which we remember things which had happened, which we experienced in our infancy, is influenced and/or determined by their enormity.
By their impact on us, the quality of our capacity to recognise, record and make sense of the events, and to recall them later.
And by the extent to which our family lifestyle lends itself to creating and maintaining reinforcers which help us to remember and recall past events.
within what I would consider to be the norm, I would say that, nothing really spectacular had occurred in my life during the first 5 years of it.
I can recall my dear mother breast feeding my younger siblings, but I cannot recall her breast, or, for that matter, even bottle feeding me.
The nearest recall to anything equating breast feeding I can recollect, prior to being in an intimate relationship.
Was of of a lactating neighbour extruding drops of her breast milk into my eyes, after I suffered some mishap which I am no longer able to detail.
To be continued!
