L.G.: That sounds like a lot to preoccupy the time and life of humans; T.!
And are you saying that that is not enough purpose for the existance of humans; that they are born, live a variable life that has or might have moments of pleasure and happiness, based on a pillar or foundation of mediocre routine?
T.: Well, yes, L.G.: That is precisely; of what point or purpose can it be that us humans should be born to procreate, live a live of mediocre routine and then die? It seems to make no sense, and neither does it profit anybody anything.
L.G. Mmmm; I understand, T. But tell me this, is that not also the fate of all living creatures; that they live, procreate and then die? Are you saying that that is not sufficient for humans?
T.: Well, no, not really, L.G., even though we have to accept that. You see, L.G., our gods, like you, do not die, and so it is that we, also, aspire to avoid death.
L.G.: But, L. How can such a thing be possible, that humans, made of flesh and blood, and quite unlike, or how you have imagined me to be, can or could presume to live forever?
T.: Yes. I know, L.G. Why, even the Bible, which the Christians believe to be contain your revelations, have recorded that humans cannot enter your 'Heavenly Kingdom', in human form.
Which it asserts, and rightly so, is corruptible, being made, physically, from flesh and blood. Arguing, therefore, that humans must die, meaning physically, before they can enter your Kingdom.
L.G.: If that be so, L. Then, for argument sake. Is that not enough of a purpose for human existence and life. That they live until they die, however long a duration that might be, and then assume the mantle of 'eternal life' in my supposed Kingdom?
To be continued!
