JUST A THOUGHT - ON LIAM NEESON'S CONTROVERSIAL COMMENT ABOUT RACE! PART 1.

Liam Neeson, a man who I rate as a very watchable and competent actor, has recent commented on some of his adverse and problematic reactions to someone close to him having been raped. Apparently by 'a black man.'

He has not given any indication the details of this 'black man', who, for all we know, could be of any nationality or ethnicity, within the sometimes rather broad categorisation of perceived or self-defined as 'black.'

As the report in the interview in which he commented on the incident noted, it is the unidentified victim of the report rape who told him that the alleged offender was 'black.'

Liam Neeson's reaction to the what we can imagine to be the shocking and unbearable attack on his close relative or associate.

Was, he told us, to arm himself with a cosh and, for a period of over a week, leave the victim of the attack and go out to a predetermined place.

Looking and hoping that a black man would approach him, so that he could, he said, kill him.

Yes, the thought of doing such a thing, as Liam Neeson said, is "horrible", "horrible", and, as he has also said, is "shameful."

So, how should people respond to this partial disclosure by Liam Neeson?

Should he be castigated as 'a racist', or as 'a former racist'?  Well, yes, there is no doubt that Liam Neeson was being 'racist' in coming to the view that, attacking any 'black man.'

Would have been a self-perceived justified response to his friend or relative having been attacked by 'a black man.'

A kind of, 'if one is quilty then they all guilty.' As 'God' punished the Egyptians by killing all their first born, and as Israel indulges in 'collective punishment of the Palestians.

To name a couple of examples of this doctrine.

To be continued!
